Approving expense reports is a simple process. You can approve reports by individually going through each report or bulk approve multiple reports at once.
To view the expenses of employees that you’re assigned as an approver to, select the Expenses tab from the left panel. Then, select the Your team’s expenses page. This page gives you visibility into the status of your team’s expenses before the expenses are submitted for approval in a report.
To view the expense reports that are assigned to you for approval, select the Expense report tab from the left panel. Then, select the Your team’s reports page.
Individually approve expense reports
Under the Approval needed tab, there will be a list of reports that have been submitted and are waiting for approval.
Select the report that you’d like to approve. In the View report page, review the expenses in the report to ensure the expense details are correct.
To edit expenses for your employee, view the Edit expense details in reports submitted for approval help article. You can also send the report back for the employee to edit if expense details are incorrect. View the Send back expense reports help article for full instructions.
If all the expense details are correct, select the Approve button on the top right.
In the Approve report pop-up, select the Approve button to confirm your approval.
The expense report status will be updated from submitted to approved. On the Your team’s reports page, the report will move from the Approval needed tab to the All tab.
Bulk approve expense reports
To approve reports in bulk, use the checkboxes to select the required reports from the list on the page then select the Approve button.
In the Approve reports? pop-up, select the Approve button to confirm your approval.
The reports will move from the Approval needed tab to the All tab.
Spenders will be notified via email that the reports have been approved.
