Restrict pending transactions from expense reports

How to prevent users from adding expenses with pending transactions to expense reports

By default, spenders can add pending expenses to expense reports and submit these expense reports for approval. Because pending transactions may not show the final dollar amount, there may be a mismatch between the amount listed in an expense report submitted in this way versus the final statement.

To restrict pending expenses from expense reports, follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings, then Expenses & reports and select Enable advanced features from the drop-down.

  • Turn on the Restrict pending transactions from reports toggle to restrict employees from adding pending transactions to reports.

Any automatically created and submitted reports will also exclude pending transactions.
